Captain Herman Bips III

Captain Herman Bips is United States Coast Guard Licensed Captain and a US Sail certified keelboat instructor with many years of teaching and sailing experience. He has introduced hundreds to the wonderful world of sail. Join him in classes or cruises and experience the exciting, yet relaxing, nature of sailing.

Captain Bips has lived in the Tampa area for over 20 years and originally hails from the New Jersey area. Sailing has taken him along the coast of Florida, as well as Cuba, Dry Tortugas and Mexico. His favorite cruising destination is Captiva, Florida.

As an active member of Davis Island Yacht Club of Tampa, he will answer any questions on the sailing scene as well as information on the club.
